Athlete Campsite Opens Lunchtime
Our camping base for the weekend is at Freshwater Bay Holiday Park. If you have booked camping this is where you will pitch-up. Campsite will be open from lunchtime, lots of facilities on site including shop, pool and bar. For other accommodation please check with Freshwater directly.

Ultra 52km 8.00am

Starting at Durdle Door this challenging route will take in breath taking sights along the coastline travelling through Osmington Mills, Weymouth Bay, Abbotsbury and Burton Bradstock. Weaving through landslides, over cliff tops and around bays and headlands this route is sure make you fall in love with the coastline.

Starting at Osmington Mills you’ll be chasing down the Ultra runners who are coming from the cliffs behind you, your route intertwines with the Ultra route above to make it back to Freshwater Beach before them.
For the safety of our running we are being strict on the cut off times. Due to the route you will be running we are not allowing any runners to be out there during the early evening when the sun is setting.
Please ensure when booking you are able to complete 20 miles in 5 hours basically reach our Lovestation™ by 1pm. If you fail to achieve this then you will be removed from the race for safety reasons.
Chaos Race 6pm
Entry: £7 Cash On The Day Only
The chance to round off the first race day with a bit of fun for all the family, a 3km Chaos race on the pebbles at Freshwater Beach with profits going to our Event Partner Jurassic Coast Trust to help continue their amazing work to protect and promote this wonderful coastline.

Going the opposite way on day 2 you’ll take in scenery along West Bay, Seatown and Golden Cap, Dorset’s highest climb! Before returning to Freshwater to finish.

As with the half marathon on day 2 you are taking in the scenery along West Bay to Thorncombe Beacon and returning to Freshwater to finish.
Kids race 2pm
Not to leave the kids out, on the beach at Freshwater the chance for the kids to complete a race of their own and claim their medal from the weekend.
Usual WSR entertainment over the weekend with top notch caterers, coffee venders and bar to keep you fuelled and refreshed over the weekend.
There will also be some family activities to learn more about this amazing heritage site including compass and map reading skills, Jurassic Football, Building Coves, Fossil Hunting, Palaeontology Beach School and lots more.

The different rocks along the Jurassic Coast have been carved by the sea into bays, beaches, cliffs, stacks, arches and landslides. This marvellous variety in the landscape helps create the natural beauty of the area and makes the Jurassic Coast an inspirational place to explore.
